This blog is divided into 10 separate sections as there are far too many photos to put on one post
Ashburton
On the last day we travelled down to Ashburton, to visit a good friend of mine that I've known from working in Ireland. It just also happened that, that Friday was a public holiday. Knowing that I was an aviation enthusiast (we went to an airshow in Duxford when I travelled to the UK & he was still living in Ireland) and that Ashburton had an Aviation Museum, he kindly took us there.
On the way there we drove through the town of Rakaia, where they had a large sculpture of a fish. Had to stop and take a photo of that. It was really quite well done.

Before too long our holiday was at an end and it was time to head back home to Adelaide, South Australia.
